Surfer's Paradise

Well I've been back about a week and things are going well. I'm living at the hostel, working in reception to pay for the room, then doing a sales gig for money. I'll try to get some pics on here but it will be hard from here. I've met a bunch of great people and am having a lot of fun, trying to learn some italian from a new friend. Other than that it's just the usual hanging out at the beach.

Back over the rainbow

2 days ago I returned from my almost month long adventure in Thailand. It had it's ups and downs but was mostly a blast. I didn't contract any diseases (that i know of) and my stomach was generally ok most of the time. I rode an elephant, slept in a bamboo hut in a hill village, went white water rafting, went to a full moon party, stayed in a room at a hotel used in filming "The Beach", went to "the beach" (no pot fields, sorry) got a tan, went snorkeling, and ate a lot of thai food. I travelled with 2 Canadian guys that I met in Oz. Had a bit of a romance with one of them. It definately made the trip more fun, and interesting. Thailand is beautiful and strange, but definately worth seeing.
But now I'm back and on my own again. Most of the people I met before I left have moved on, such is the way of hostel life i guess. I accepted a job in sales. It sounds ok and i think i can make some money doing it. So from now until November 19th (when my visa runs out) I'll be working hard and saving up to do a tour of Oz later. I also plan to surf a lot, horseback ride when I can, and otherwise have as good a time as I can. I still have to get my car inspected and registered. If it doesn't pass again i think i might just cry right there at the station.
