The Lexmark Indy 300 race

This past week saw Surfers Paradise transformed into a race track for the indy 300. The streets were packed with people, the night clubs were hopping, and i worked the whole time. Sometimes I didn';t get back from work until 8am! I did manage to score a ticket and went to the main events. The indy cars and the V8 cars were really cool to see, and very loud. I am still tired from the week and am ready to get out of here. My car finally passed inspection so i'm going to get it registered, do halloween here, and then i'm outta here.

All work and no play

I've been working pretty much every second since I've been back. 3 hours a day at the hostel, which I'm finished with on Sunday, and the rest of the day selling tickets. I decided the ticket thing wasn't making me enough money to do full time so i got an hourly job selling a sea salt body scrub at a kiosk in the mall. yay, my dream come true to smell of lemongrass oil!!! Moving into an apartment soon, can't take hostel life anymore. someone stole my salt! who steals salt! honestly!

I think this picture is funny. I went out a few times with this kiwi guy, Rob, and we went to dinner at Melbas (a restaurant in town) and I took this picture off their website, which had the caption "local couple Rob and Kim." They didn't even ask where we were from. It makes me wonder about the other pictures on their site.
